How often do you log into a website on the daily? When you fire up your work computer, check your email, write a blog post or survey the damage to your bank account from the weekend (eek!)… you’ve gotta type in a password.
Think about all of the passwords you’ve picked and how may times a day you have to enter. I know – Apple Face ID does it for us most of the time – but we still have to go ‘ol school and type it in here and there. If you’re like me, I’ve always used passwords that would be easy to remember – like pet names or stupid favorite songs. But I thought, why not use this mundane task to give myself a little reminder of my goals.
SO…. I started searching for money and life motivational phrases – cuz we all gotta work on our body and financial fitness!
Spend Less. You Need a Budget (p.s. YNAB.com is a super cool tool for budgeting). Be Aware of Your Habits. Mindfully Eat. Control what you can Control.
All of these phrases illicit feelings of guilt or motivation… and all are tied to my goals. So rather than put a sticky note in every corner or my house, I changed all of my passwords to these phrases. Now my password on my favorite retailer’s website reminds me I should be saving and sticking to a budget. My work password reminds me to hustle and grind everyday. Boom!
These passwords might not stop you from indulging in that semi-annual sale, but may make you think twice before buying EVERYTHING in your cart!
